Acoustics Music & Videos Student Competition

The Acoustical Society of America (ASA) is holding an Acoustics Music & Video Student Competition for a first place award of $600, a second place award of $400, and a third place award of $200. All winners will also receive a free one-year ASA membership.

The intent of the entries must be to promote acoustics and/or to educate in acoustics and should be targeted toward a student audience.

To participate in the competition, please submit your contribution before April 9, 2010 to asacompetition@gmail.com. Submissions received after 5pm Eastern Time on this day will not be accepted. All submissions should include a written document not longer than 2 pages explaining the intent of the work. Audio submissions may be sent directly to this email address; video submissions should be uploaded to www.youtube.com and the video’s URL address should be included in the written submission. By submitting any entry, the participants agree to allow the ASA to use their material for posting in their web site and for podcast downloads. The winners will be announced at the ASA 159th meeting to be held on 19-23 April 2010 in Baltimore, MD. Registration fee will be waived to students. However, meeting attendance is not mandatory.
