Young Investigator Award

The Committee on Women in Acoustics sponsors a Young Investigator Travel Grant to help with travel costs associated with presenting a paper at each ASA meeting. This award is designed for young professionals who have completed the doctorate in the past five years (not currently enrolled as a student), who plan to present a paper at the upcoming meeting. Awards will be presented by check at the WIA luncheon at the meeting. It is anticipated that the Committee will grant a maximum of three awards. Applicants should submit a request for support, a copy of the abstract they have submitted for the meeting and a current resume/vita which provides information on their involvement in the field of acoustics and to the ASA to wia_award@acosoc.org. Submission deadline is usually nine weeks before each meeting. Both men and women may apply.
