What are Regional Chapters? |
|
Regional chapters allow you to become involved in the Acoustical Society of America (ASA) on a local level. National meetings of the ASA are held twice a year in the Spring and Fall. Regional chapters, on the other hand, typically meet multiple times throughout the year. Membership in a regional chapter does not require membership in the ASA. There are both traditional regional chapters and student chapters. Student chapters are essentially the same as regional chapters except that they are run by students and affiliated with an educational institution. Any person interested in acoustics, regardless of professional or student status, is welcome to be involved in both types of chapters!
