Spring Meeting: March 30-31, 2012 in Vicksburg, MS.

I would like to thank all of the presenters and attendees of the recent MidSouth ASA Chapter Meeting. Your participation makes this chapter interesting and exciting! A brief overview of past meeting presentations along with photos and full meeting proceedings are available here.

Our Spring 2012 meeting will be March 30-31 at the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center, in Vicksburg, MS. All scientists, engineers, acousticians, teachers and students who are interested in acoustics, sound or vibration may attend. Please pass this information along to your colleagues who may be interested. A schedule of events, abstract submission and meeting registration forms will be available at a later date. A tour of a civil war battlefield near Vicksburg, MS will be part of the meeting. Details to follow in the coming weeks. Note that the national Acoustical Society of America meeting will be held in Kansas City, Missouri, in the Fall of 2012. We would like to have a large turnout of all those interested in acoustics, sound or vibration from the MidSouth area at this national meeting! More information about a MidSouth Chapter get-together at the Kansas City meeting will be forthcoming in the months ahead.
