It is with regret that we inform our members that Hank Bass, Director of the National Center for Physical Acoustics at the University of Mississippi, passed away on May 28th. Among his many other accomplishments, he was also influential in the formation of this chapter of the Acoustical Society of America.

Fall Meeting Update: September 5-6, 2008
The 3rd Meeting of the MidSouth Chapter of the Acoustical Society of America will be Friday-Saturday, September 5-6, 2008 at The National Center for Physical Acoustics (NCPA) located in Oxford, MS. The meeting will be in conjunction with the 50th anniversary meeting of the The National Sedimentation Laboratory.
